What is a Chronograph?

A chronograph watch is a watch that has timekeeping or stop watch attached to the main watch. It was developed in the 1820 by a French man named, Rieussec. It basically acts like a stop watch. They are a very popular complication that is found on many mechanical watches.

Styles and Brands

There many styles of Moon phase Chronograph watches. One of my favorite styles are the one made by Georg Jensen. They are very popular Danish watches, that simple in design, yet very slick. Another really good watch is the Breitling Navitimer Moonphase Chronograph. This is a really stylish watch, it is also very affordable, especially for a Breitling watch. Citizen and Sieko also make great Moon phase chronograph watches. Those to brands a little more basic that the average luxury watch, but they are both well built.

Prices

You can get a good moon phase chronograph watch for as little as twenty dollars. These are not really good quality, but for some will do. If you are willing to invest a little money, I would recommend the breitling moon phase chronograph watches. They are priced at one to three hundred dollars, depending on the model. The Georg Jenson Moon phase chronograph watches are the some of the best you can buy. They cost around a thousand dollars.
